Swiss Grand Cru Chocolate:
The Swiss producer we selected has over a century of chocolate-making expertise, proudly upholding the country’s renowned tradition of quality. Cocoa beans are selected with the utmost care, favoring rare cultivars from small plantations that offer exclusive, high-quality cocoa rather than mass-market sources. This approach ensures not only an exceptional product but also supports farming communities committed to cultivating premium cocoa. For our creations, we use Grand Cru chocolate, which fully reflects the complexity and uniqueness of cocoa origins, combining refinement, craftsmanship, and sustainability.
Piedmont Hazelnuts:
We use only certified IGP Piedmont hazelnuts. This variety is the most prized among all hazelnuts, with its intense toasted-sweet flavor, exceptional crunchiness, and rich aroma making it truly inimitable.
Bourbon Vanilla:
In our recipes, we exclusively use Bourbon vanilla from Sambava (Madagascar), a rare and exquisite variety known for its woody and cocoa-like flavor with irresistible floral notes.
Ceylon Cinnamon:
We have selected Ceylon cinnamon for our products, a premium variety appreciated for its delicate, subtle aroma with sweet and citrusy undertones.
100% Natural Colorants:
For our creations, we use only 100% natural colorants extracted from selected fruits, vegetables, and plants. Each hue comes from genuine ingredients like beetroot, spirulina, and activated charcoal…
These natural and vegan pigments allow us to color our chocolate with authentic, delicate, and refined shades, while also respecting health and the environment.

Chocolate:
The Swiss company we have chosen for cocoa bean processing and chocolate production is deeply committed to respecting nature, local communities, and the principles of ethical trade. Through a transparent and sustainable supply chain, it ensures that every step of the chocolate-making process respects both the environment and the people involved. It promotes fair working conditions and responsible agricultural practices by adopting a “Fair Direct Cacao” approach. This means sourcing cocoa directly for their exceptional couvertures—without intermediaries and establishing long-term relationships with cooperatives and growers. These partnerships guarantee fair wages, safety, and continuous support. Their dedication to quality and sustainability makes this chocolate not only delicious, but also ethically responsible.
Vanilla:
Our vanilla is supplied by a Swiss company that is equally committed to ethical and respectful trade practices.
Coffee:
We use high-quality coffee exclusively certified by Max Havelaar. It is roasted and packaged in Switzerland, ensuring both premium quality and ethical sourcing.
Cinnamon:
The cinnamon we use is Max Havelaar and Bio Bourgeon certified, sourced from Sri Lanka and packaged in Switzerland.
Cane Sugar:
Our cane sugar is Max Havelaar certified, sourced from Mauritius, and also packaged in Switzerland.
Animal Welfare
Another aspect close to our heart is animal welfare, which is why we have chosen Swiss-origin products with the following certifications:
Butter:
Certified Swissmilk green.
Cream:
Certified IP-Suisse.
Milk:
Certified IP-Suisse.
Eggs:
From free-range farms, certified Suisse Garantie.
Local Trade
Whenever possible, we prioritize the purchase of products of Swiss origin. Let’s support and celebrate our local farmers and producers together!
As previously mentioned, we use Swiss-origin cream, milk, butter, and eggs — but that’s not all. Our granulated white sugar, powdered sugar, and flour also come from crops grown on Swiss soil.
In line with this commitment to promoting local commerce, we entrusted the design of our logo, chocolate bars, and other molds to a young designer from Ticino.
The design of the Lugano bar was created by the Swiss graphic studio La Jonx, based in Geneva.
Our dedication to fostering ethical and local trade has materialized through the creation of our production laboratory, made possible with the support of the “Ente Regionale per lo Sviluppo del Luganese”, to whom we express our sincere thanks.
